PeopleLink acquires South Carolina-based firm

February 21, 2014

PeopleLink Staffing Solutions acquired 2AM Group LLC, a quality service provider to the automotive, aerospace and marine industries headquartered in Spartanburg, S.C. The acquisition expands the U.S. footprint of PeopleLink’s quality services business, which it provides through subsidiary Sustained Quality.

The transaction closed Feb. 17, and terms were not disclosed.

“This acquisition creates a powerful new organization by blending Sustained Quality and 2AM into one highly focused quality, manufacturing and logistics service company with a strong national presence,” Said PeopleLink President and CEO W. “Jay” Wilkinson. “2AM is a strong player in the quality, logistics and technical services industry and their business model will complement the Sustained Quality profit center operating model.”

PeopleLink will maintain both firm’s identities to maximize brand equity. 2AM President Artie Perry remains a member of executive management.

2AM, established in 2006, counts six locations in South Carolina; three in Alabama; and one each in Florida, Tennessee and California.

South Bend, Ind.-based PeopleLink ranks No. 84 on Staffing Industry Analysts’ list of largest U.S. staffing firms. It is majority owned by Groupe Crit, a Paris-based staffing provider, which acquired a majority share in PeopleLink in September 2011.
