PeopleLink Staffing Solutions acquired The Agency Staffing, a staffing provider based in West Dundee, Ill. The Agency Staffing was founded in 1985 and operates seven offices in Illinois and Wisconsin.

“This acquisition will improve our commercial staffing footprint in Illinois and will provide for additional growth in the neighboring states of Wisconsin, Iowa and Minnesota,” said PeopleLink President and CEO W. “Jay” Wilkinson. “The acquisition will bring a talented staff of veterans and will provide the current Agency Staffing clients with even more choices and higher levels of staffing support and human capital services.”

PeopleLink ranks No. 84 on Staffing Industry Analysts’ list of largest U.S. staffing firms. It’s based in South Bend, Ind., and is majority owned by Groupe Crit, a Paris-based staffing provider, which acquired a majority share in PeopleLink in September 2011.

The Agency Staffing is expected to have revenue of approximately $40 million in the 2013 fiscal year, according to a press release by Groupe Crit. The acquisition will give Groupe Crit U.S. revenue of $250 million on a pro forma basis in 2013.

The Agency Staffing also marks the fifth acquisition in North America by Groupe Crit. In addition to its acquisition of 75 percent of PeopleLink in 2011, it acquired Elite Personnel in September 2012, Trade Management in November 2012 and Visiont in December 2012. Elite provides staffing in the pharmaceutical and cosmetics industry while Texas-based Trade Management operates in the construction and industrial areas. Visiont is an Iowa-based provider of information technology staffing.
