Westaff Inc. (NASD: WSTF) named Kristi Kennedy as senior VP of field operations. Kennedy most recently served as VP of operations at Corestaff.

Korn/Ferry International Inc. (NYSE: KFY) said Peter Smith, Matt Welsh, and Peter Win have joined the firm as client partners at the company's London location. Smith and Win both have 10 years experience in executive search. Welsh began in executive search in 1998.

Staffing industry veteran David Levy, president of National Creative Strategies Inc., died Aug. 29 from pancreatic cancer. He had worked in the staffing industry since the 1960s. Prior to National Creative Strategies, Levy co-owned and operated Stone Personnel and Bridgestone Personnel, staffing firms that specialized in providing services to the financial industry in the 1980s and '90s. National Creative Strategies provides mergers and acquisitions consulting services to the staffing industry.
