People: Volt, Magellan, PrideStaff and more

Here are recent promotions, new hires and other personnel announcements made by staffing firms. Today’s listings include changes at Volt Information Sciences Inc. (OTCBB: VISI), Magellan Search & Staffing, PrideStaff, Accountable Healthcare Staffing Inc. and more.

Volt Information Sciences board member Steven Shaw is stepping down, the company reported in a filing earlier this week with the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission. Shaw had served as a director since August 1998, and he had served as president and CEO of the company from March 2006 to April 2012.

Magellan Search & Staffing named Albert Simmons as chief operating officer. Simmons most recently served as chief business development officer for a $115 million systems integration firm based in Wayne, Pa. Magellan Search & Staffing has offices in Plymouth Meeting and Philadelphia, Pa.

Nieke Renssen and Daan Renssen are co-owners/strategic partners of the new PrideStaff office in Thousand Oaks, Calif. PrideStaff is a national staffing franchise.

Accountable Healthcare Staffing Inc., a Boca Raton, Fla.-based healthcare staffing provider, announced Randy Bernard is branch manager of its new office in Atlanta. Prior to joining Accountable, Bernard ran the Georgia region for InteliStaf Healthcare as Georgia branch director. 

CTPartners Executive Search Inc. (NYSE MKT: CTP) announced Michael "Mike" Matella joined the firm’s Chicago office as a vice chairman, executive committee member and global head of the professional services practice. Matella most recently was a managing partner with Egon Zehnder, where he founded and led its professional services practices.

Boyden, an executive search firm, appointed Peter Santora as a managing partner based in Southern California and Paul Moran as a managing partner based in Boston. Santora joins Boyden from another global executive search firm, where he served 11 years as a senior client partner. Moran has 25 years of experience in talent acquisition.

Protiviti Inc., a consulting and internal audit division of Robert Half International (NYSE: RHI), added Evelyn Dilsaver to its advisory board. Dilsaver, the fourth member of the board, is the former president and CEO of Charles Schwab Investment Management. She also serves currently on the boards of Aeropostale, Blue Shield of California, High Mark Funds and Tempur-Pedic International.

Kincannon and Reed, a search firm specializing in the food, agribusiness and life sciences sectors, named Managing Director David Turner as head of the Latin America business unit. Additionally, Joseph Sherman joined the firm as a managing director based in Sao Paulo, Brazil. Sherman most recently was executive director of the International Ethanol Trade Association.

Ryan Search & Consulting named George Dunbar to its board of advisors. Dunbar, an entrepreneur and management consultant, heads Dunbar Group LLC and is also a partner with Arboretum Ventures, a venture capital hat specializes in the healthcare sector.
