Here are recent promotions, new hires and other personnel announcements made by staffing firms. Today’s listings include announcements from Lucas Group, Brightwing, Employee Solutions, PrideStaff, Wheless Partners and MRINetwork.

Lucas Group, an Atlanta-based executive search firm, hired Myra Mendizabal as managing partner for its Los Angeles legal division. Watson most recently was managing partner with Slate Professional Resources.

Brightwing, a recruiting and training company, added Daryl Thomson as vice president of sales. Thomson has more than 20 years of experience in sales operations, recruiting, workforce management and business consulting. Brightwing is headquartered in Troy, Mich., and has offices in Weston, Fla., and Dallas.

Employee Solutions named Robert Paulk vice president of sales and marketing. Paulk led Snelling Staffing’s branch opening and acquisition strategy for 17 years. Plano, Texas-based Employee Solutions has 12 offices in Texas and Oklahoma and provides staffing for light industrial, administrative, and call center companies.

John Chandler is owner/strategic partner of the new Birmingham South PrideStaff office in Alabama. PrideStaff is a national staffing franchise.

Wheless Partners, an Atlanta-based executive search and leadership advisory firm, added to its financial services practice group; Jodie Jiles will serve as president and managing director, while Robert McMillan II and Rich Phillips will serve as co-managing directors.

Nonprofit HR appointed Dennis Sawyers as managing director of the firm’s talent acquisition practice. He will lead the growth of executive search, staffing and talent management services. Before joining Nonprofit HR in 2005, Sawyers was senior human resources manager at Booz Allen Hamilton. Nonprofit HR has offices in Washington D.C., and Chicago and provides human resources consulting and talent acquisition services.

MRINetwork announced Bobbi Moss's appointment to chairperson of the American Staffing Association’s search and placement section policy council. Moss currently serves as senior vice president and general manager at Govig & Associates, an affiliate of MRINetwork.
