Lofton Staffing & Security Services announced Tom Maupin will manage a new branch office in Little Rock, Ark., Lofton’s first office in the state. Maupin previously held security management positions with AT&T (BellSouth), Coca Cola and Entergy. He is credentialed as a security company manager, commissioned security officer and a training administrator with the Arkansas State Police. Lofton, headquartered in Baton Rouge, La., has 13 offices throughout the southern US; it provides consulting, staffing, security, energy, and medical staffing services.

Slate Professional Resources Inc. added David Navarro as director of business development. Based in the South Florida area, he will lead the sales efforts in South Florida and the Caribbean. Navarro most recently was sales regional director for South Florida at Experis. Freehold, N.J.-based Slate provides staffing services to the legal, accounting and information technology industries.

Optimum Talent, a provider of human resources consulting services in Canada, appointed Sandra Boyd as senior VP and national practice leader, career management. Boyd previously was VP, career solutions at Knightsbridge, responsible for managing the sales consulting team and P&L in the Toronto office.

Legal search firm Major, Lindsey & Africa announced Laura Fellows joined the firm to lead its solutions practice group across the Europe, the Middle East and Africa region. Prior to joining MLA, Fellows launched a similar business providing flexible legal talent. She previously practiced law in the London offices of Jones Day and Simmons & Simmons and was a senior lecturer on the legal practice course at BPP University. Fellows is based in MLA’s London office.

Executive search firm ZRG Partners added Rahul Kapur as a managing director. Kapur will be part of the firm’s global financial services practice, bringing specific expertise in the payments and banking space. He previously worked as practice leader with several top consultancies including Cognizant, CapGemni, PricewaterhouseCoopers, Capco and Mastercard Advisors.

Raines International, a New York City-based executive search firm, promoted Joshua Zigman to managing director. Zigman recruits management consultants and investment professionals for corporate strategy and development. He joined the firm at the associate level, earning consistent promotions.
