Executive search firm Korn/Ferry International Inc. (NYSE: KFY) named a former Ford Motor Co. executive as its chairman. Intellect Technical Solutions Inc. appointed a VP of sales and recruiting.

Korn/Ferry announced Kenneth Whipple will take the role of nonexecutive chairman from Paul Reilly effective Friday. Reilly is stepping down from the Korn/Ferry board to serve as president of Raymond James Financial.

Whipple also serves as chairman of CMS Energy Corp. He retired from the Ford Motor Co. in 1999 after serving in several positions, including VP of corporate strategy, chairman of Ford Europe and chairman and CEO of Ford Credit.

Korn/Ferry also announced that Patti Hart will step down as lead director of the board, but remain on the board. Hart recently accepted the position of president and CEO of International Game Technology.

Intellect named Tim Nau as its VP of sales and recruiting. Nau founded Human Capital Solutions, a technology, engineering and executive search firm. Intellect is a Tampa FL-based staffing firm.
