People: Kelly Services, Heidrick, Supplemental Health Care, Swift and more

Here are recent promotions, new hires and other personnel announcements. Today’s listings include announcements from Kelly Services, Heidrick & Struggles, Supplemental Health Care, Swift, Schumacher Group, Vector Technical Resources and Employee Solutions.

Kelly Services Inc. (NASD: KELYA) appointed Olivier Thirot as senior vice president, controller and chief accounting officer of the company, effective Sept. 1. Thirot joined Kelly Services in Neuchatel, Switzerland, in 2008 as vice president, finance, for the company’s EMEA operations. In 2011, he assumed responsibility for Kelly’s financial operations in the APAC region. Thirot joined Kelly with 25 years’ experience in the finance field. Michael Debs, who currently serves as the company’s controller and chief accounting officer, will become the company’s senior vice president and treasurer, with responsibility for Kelly’s EMEA and APAC financial operations in addition to his responsibility as corporate treasurer.

Executive search firm Heidrick & Struggles International Inc. (NASD: HSII) appointed Bill Hudson as a senior advisor to the trade association practice. Hudson previously served as president and CEO of the Global Cold Chain Alliance, a partnership of organizations dedicated to the distribution of food commodities worldwide. Based in Washington, D.C., Hudson will continue as COO with IMN Solutions, an association and meeting management company, and as chairman of the Affiliated Alliance for International Meetings and Commerce.

Supplemental Health Care, a Park City, Utah-based healthcare staffing firm, appointed Missy Blankenship to vice president of local offices. Blankenship joined the company in 2005 as a market manager and most recently served as senior regional vice president of the Central region. With Blankenship's appointment, Supplemental Health Care will now move from having four regions to three major operating regions: East, Southwest and West.

Swift Worldwide Resources, a recruiter serving the oil and gas industry, announced Janette Marx joined the firm as chief operating officer and Brian Coffman was named the new global operations director. Both will report directly to Swift CEO Tobias Read. Additionally, Amber Polk was promoted from business services manager to business services and safety manager for North America. Marx previously served as senior vice president at Adecco Staffing, USA, overseeing the company’s staffing for the engineering, technical, medical and science industries. Coffman previously was vice president of talent at Maxwell Drummond International, overseeing recruitment and career development in all regions.

Schumacher Group hired Steven Ditto as the company’s first chief business development officer. Ditto previously was managing director for the health and public sector practice of Accenture. Schumacher also named Dr. Robert Wagner as chief medical information officer. Wagner had been Schumacher’s president of care management since 2001.

Vector Technical Resources, an IT staffing firm based in Vienna, Va., hired Barbara Alexander Rorer as a senior account director. Rorer previously was business development manager at The Goal Inc., a technology consulting firm in the Washington, D.C., area. Vector also hired Katrina Gray as an HR generalist, responsible for all in-house compensation, benefits, employee relations and other related areas.

Employee Solutions announced Shanna Scalf is the manager of its new office in McKinney, Texas, its eighth in the Dallas-Fort Worth area. Plano, Texas-based Employee Solutions has 14 offices in Texas and Oklahoma and provides staffing for light industrial, administrative and call center companies.
