ApTask Consulting LLC, an Edison, N.J.-based information technology staffing company, appointed Safiya Karsan president of the company. In the newly created position, Karsan will oversee all mergers and acquisitions, business development and marketing efforts. Karsan previously was chief of staff, talent business at Mercer.

Texas-based Meador Staffing Services promoted Executive Vice President Melinda Torrison to president and chief operations officer for the company. Former President Ben Meador will remain active in the company as chairman and CEO. Torrison joined Meador Staffing full time in 1987, when it was still named Meador-Brady, as a receptionist. She held many positions at the firm over the past 27 years, the most recent being executive vice president.

CTPartners Executive Search Inc. (NYSE MKT: CTP) announced Kevin McKeon joined the firm’s Boston office as a principal in the financial services practice with a focus on asset management, wealth and alternative investment. McKeon previously spent nine years within the asset management practices of Heidrick & Struggles and Sheffield Haworth. He also spent six years at Pyramis Global Advisors, acting as chief of staff for the investment division and overseeing recruiting for the division.

Tatum, a division of Randstad Holding NV, announced Scott Law joined the company as its new Atlanta office managing partner. Law previously worked for the company as a partner in its financial consulting practice earlier in his career. Most recently, Law was vice president of business development for Challenger, Gray & Christmas Inc. Before that, he founded and served as managing partner of executive recruiting firm McCormick & Associates, and worked for Bell Oaks Company as a partner and shareholder.

New York City-based Windsor Resources hired Donna Saunders as a vice president in its office support division, where her main focus will be HR, office support and legal. Saunders has 14 years in recruiting and staffing for clients in the New York metro marketplace, including at one of the first women owned agencies in New York City, as a partner at an executive search firm, and several years as a senior talent consultant.

DreamJobs announced Susan Cooksey joined its executive team as senior vice president of workforce strategies. She will lead the client strategies group, reporting to President and CEO Kim Davis. DreamJobs is headquartered in Toledo, Ohio, and targets mid-market companies.

Accentuate Staffing, which serves North Carolina’s Triangle region, announced Amy Wotring will lead its specialty research and development consulting division. The new division provides executive-level placement services to the life science sector. Wotring joined Accentuate Staffing in 1999 and led the creation of Accentuate's scientific/clinical recruitment group in 2003.
