People: AMN, Heidrick, StormStaff

AMN Healthcare Services Inc. (NYSE: AHS) appointed Wyche Walton and Martin Chavez to its board of directors as part of its deal to acquire Medfinders, according to a filing with the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission. Chavez is a managing director at Goldman, Sachs & Co. while Walton is a managing director of HWP Capital Partners II LP. The firms were stockholders in Medfinders.

Heidrick & Struggles International Inc. (NASD: HSII) announced John Armstrong joined its Toronto office as a partner. Armstrong will work in Heidrick's financial services and global technology and services practice. Armstrong comes to Heidrick from Accenture where he was managing director of its financial services business for Canada.

StormStaff hired Benjamin Baker as division manager. Baker will be based out of the company's San Diego office. StormStaff is a provider of administrative, legal and finance/accounting staffing.
