People: ADP, Manpower, Hire Velocity

Automatic Data Processing Inc. (NASD: ADP), a provider of professional employer organization and other services, appointed Dermot O’Brien as its new chief human resources officer and corporate vice president. O’Brien joins ADP from TIAA-CREF, where he served for nine years as executive vice president of human resources, and as a member of its executive management team. He will report directly to ADP President and CEO Carlos Rodriguez.

Manpower of San Diego, a franchise of ManpowerGroup (NYSE: MAN), promoted Tony Evenson to vice president/CFO in each of its markets — San Diego; southwest Riverside, Calif.; New Mexico; and Spokane, Wash. Evenson has been with the company since 1993.  Manpower of San Diego also promoted Debbie Dunn to the new role of vice president of the company’s south Riverside, Calif., operations.

Hire Velocity, a recruitment process outsourcing firm, named Amy Miller as director of sales. Miller comes to the RPO provider from Yoh, where she was a branch manager/group director.
