Online job ads rise most in government, real estate

Simply Hired reported its measure of U.S. job openings rose by 5.1 percent in March compared to February and increased 27.5 percent compared to the same time last year. Among industries, government jobs posted the largest increase in help-wanted ads, up 25.2 percent from February and 42.7 percent year over year. It was followed by real estate, which rose 9.4 percent from month prior and 17.6 percent year over year.

Healthcare and hospitality industries saw decreases in March of 9.9 percent and 8.6 percent respectively.
