Online job ads fall for second month

The number of online job ads fell by 29,600 in March to approximately 3.9 million, according to The Conference Board's measure of online job ads released today.

March's decline comes after a decrease of 66,900 in February. However, online job ads had risen by 750,000 from November through January.

"The recent February and March data suggests that employers may still be somewhat cautious about significantly expanding their workforce as we are preparing to enter the Spring hiring season," said June Shelp, VP at The Conference Board.
