On Assignment Inc. (NYSE: ASGN) closed on the sale of its physician staffing segment, Vista Staffing Solutions Inc., to Envision Healthcare (NYSE: EVHC), the company announced today. On Assignment announced the $123.0 million deal last month.

The closing of the sale was effective Feb. 1.

Vista provides locum tenens staffing and permanent placement services for physicians, nurse practitioners and physician assistants. On Assignment had ranked as the fourth-largest US locum tenens staffing firm.
