S.i. Systems and QPS Employment Group announced the openings of new offices.

S.i. Systems, a Calgary, Alberta-based information technology staffing firm, announced it opened new offices in Toronto and Mississauga, Ontario, over the past month. The company also plans to open two more offices in the Greater Toronto Area, another office in Ottawa and an office in Montreal over the next 18 months.

The office openings come as the company moves to update its brand that includes an online video campaign.

"Within corporate Canada, IT projects still need to go ahead, and in an economic downturn our clients are increasingly looking to implement their projects with temporary contractors," said founder and President Derek Bullen.

S.i. Systems has been able to stay ahead during the recession, in part, due to a proprietary system that tracks deal flow and other metrics, Bullen said. The IT staffing sector is approximately a C$3.5 billion industry, according to S.i. Systems.

QPS, a Brookfield WI-based staffing firm, announced the opening of new offices in Tomah WI and Baraboo WI.

"QPS' expansion is part of our long-term strategic planning," said Jim Roy, regional VP.
