Softworld Inc., based in Waltham, Mass., opened a new office in Fairfax, Va. "This new office more than doubles our footprint in the D.C. and Virginia marketplace and fits in very well with Softworld's growth and hiring strategy," said Softworld CFO Mike Dimitrov. Softworld is a provider of information technology staffing and permanent placement services. The firm ranked on Staffing Industry Analysts' lists of fastest-growing staffing firms from 2006 to 2009.

Tower Legal Staffing Inc, a New York-based legal staffing firm, opened a new office in Charlotte, N.C. "Where some may go offshore, we decided to recruit from abundant talent pools in lower-cost markets right here in the United States," said President and CEO Leslie Firtell. "As a result, we're keeping our clients' legal projects onshore." The manager of the Charlotte branch is Holly Meredith. The company also has offices in New York and Washington, D.C.
