New England PEO names co-presidents

October 16, 2014

Genesis HR Solutions, a New England-based PEO, named Patty Hilger and Diane Stevenson as co-presidents, effective immediately. Founder Robert Burbidge remains CEO and will focus on the strategic direction of the company.

Stevenson has been CFO at Genesis for more than 20 years. She served on the accounting practices committee for the National Association of Professional Employer Organizations and has promoted the interests of the small business community with legislators and regulators in New England for many years.

Hilger joined the Genesis management team in 2006. As VP of human resources and operations, she contributed to healthcare initiatives for NAPEO, and is an authority in the HR industry and the Affordable Care Act. Hilger spent nine years as VP of human resources of Amherst Technologies for nine years prior to joining Genesis.

“The announcement we make today recognizes the efforts of the two industry leaders who have managed the day-to-day operations of Genesis HR Solutions for many years,” Burbidge said. “Under their leadership Genesis has further refined its service model, grown market share and retained top talent. This is a natural, long-planned and seamless transition which will best serve the company, our employees and customers.”

Burbidge is a past president of NAPEO and served on its board of directors. He is also past president and treasurer of the NAPEO New England chapter.

Genesis was founded in 1991 and counts about 25 staff members. The firm targets companies with 20 to 200 employees.
