Nevada posts highest jobless rate in March

Nevada posted the highest unemployment rate among all states in March at 7.1%, according to data released today by the US Bureau of Labor Statistics. Mississippi and South Carolina followed at 6.8% and 6.7% respectively. The District of Columbia had a rate of 7.7%.

Nebraska posted the lowest unemployment rate in March at 2.6%.

The national jobless rate was 5.5%, unchanged from February and 1.1 percentage points lower than in March 2014.
