Nevada posts highest jobless rate

Nevada posted the highest unemployment rate among the states in August at 9.5 percent, according to seasonally adjusted numbers released today by the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics. Illinois and Rhode Island followed at 9.2 percent and 9.1 percent respectively.

North Dakota again registered the lowest jobless rate, 3.0 percent in August.
