In period 12 (week 45 – 48) the total number of hours increased +8.8% and turnover +8.5%, in comparison with the same period last year, according to the ABU, the principal body representing staffing firms in the Netherlands. This period had an equal amount of workable days compared to the same period last year, so no correction was applied.

ABU Turnover

The administrative sector increased +6% in hours and turnover increased +7%. Hours in the industrial sector increased +7%, and turnover increased +6%. Ultimately, the amount of worked hours in the technical sector increased +23% compared to the same period last year, turnover increased +19%.

ABU Hours

In period 11, from week 41 to week 44, the total number of hours worked in the Netherlands increased by +8.7% compared to a year earlier, and revenue was up +9.1%.

The figures of the ABU comprise approximately 65% of Dutch staffing companies. The staffing figures for period 13 or week 49 to week 52 of 2014 will be published on Tuesday, 20th January.
