The Nelson Family of Companies named Jonathan "JP" Parker as its new chief executive officer. Parker served on the company's board for more than five years and also served, most recently, as vice chairman of Boston Private Financial Holdings.

Parker will report to Gary Nelson, the company's founder and chairman. Nelson, who was CEO, will maintain an active role at the company.

"JP's extensive experience in strategically focused business expansion, and proven leadership with senior management teams will strengthen and enhance our growth and bring best practices to our team of business leaders," Nelson said.

The Nelson Family of Companies ranked as the 39th largest staffing firm in Staffing Industry Analysts' list of largest U.S. staffing firms.
