National Technical Systems Inc. (NASD: NTSC) posted a 25.4% increase in revenue to $32.6 million in its fiscal third quarter ended Oct. 31. However, the Calabasas CA-based firm said growth was 13.4% on an organic basis.

In addition, National Technical Systems sold its information technology staffing business on Nov. 3 to Strategic Staffing Solutions. The price was $5 million, subject to a working capital adjustment, according to the company. The IT staffing business had revenue of $10 million in the six months ended July 31.

National Technical Systems reported an 86.2% increase in net income for the third quarter to $1.2 million.

The company provides engineering testing services and engineering staffing.
