National Technical Systems Inc. (NASD: NTSC) received a delisting notice on Monday from Nasdaq because its board doesn't meet an exchange requirement that it have a majority of independent directors. The company said one of five independent directors on its nine-member board, Ralph Clements, died Nov. 29 leaving it without a majority of independent directors. However, the company said it's now searching for a replacement.

National Technical Systems, based in Calabasas CA, provides engineering testing services and technical staffing. The company sold its information technology staffing operations to Strategic Staffing Solutions on Nov. 3.
