Here are recent promotions, new hires and other personnel announcements made by staffing firms. Today's listings include changes at Heidrick & Struggles, Hudson Global, Accretive Solutions and others.

Executive search firm Heidrick & Struggles International Inc. (NASD: HSII) named Karen Pepping as senior vice president, chief accounting officer and controller of the company effective Feb. 25. The company amended its employment agreement with Pepping in connection with her appointment as chief accounting officer as of May 8. Pepping previously was vice president of finance and accounting of AAR Corp., a publicly held provider of products and services to the aerospace and government and defense industries. Pepping will report to CFO Richard Pehlke and be responsible for the company’s accounting, financial reporting and tax functions worldwide.

Heidrick & Struggles also appointed Karleen Mussman as senior vice president, human resources. Mussman previously was HR leader, Americas, at A.T. Kearney. She will report to Executive Vice President, General Counsel and Chief Administrative Officer Stephen Beard and lead the company’s human resources functions worldwide.

Additionally, Heidrick & Struggles named Cynthia Lance as senior vice president and deputy general counsel. Lance previously was executive vice president and corporate secretary at First Midwest Bancorp. She will assist in leading the Heidrick & Struggles’ legal function worldwide and provide legal support on corporate matters, including strategic and commercial transactions, regulatory, governance matters and securities compliance. Lance will also report directly to Beard.

New York-based staffing provider Hudson Global Inc. (NASD: HSON) expanded its relationship with Sagard Capital Partners LP, which holds 14.3 percent of the outstanding shares of Hudson stock. The agreement provides for Sagard Managing Partner Dan Friedberg to attend Hudson’s board and board committee meetings as a non-voting participant.

Chicago-based Accretive Solutions announced Carine Schneider joined the consulting and executive search firm to lead its new global equity compensation practice. Her responsibilities, among others, include staff augmentation and outsourcing needs related to stock plan administration. Most recently, Schneider was CEO of SaaS firm EASi.  Prior to that, she was the CEO and co-founder of Global Shares.

Paychex Inc. (NASD: PAYX), a payroll processing and PEO firm, appointed John Gibson as senior vice president of service and also an officer of the company. Gibson previously was president and CEO of AlphaStaff, a human resource outsourcing services provider, and president of the HR management division of HR outsourcer Convergys. Paychex field operations and centralized product operations will report to Gibson, as will SurePayroll, the SaaS-based online payroll provider Paychex acquired in 2010.

Hire4ce Inc., a firm specializing in human resource staffing, added Christopher Pritchard as a partner within its executive search division, specializing in diversity-sensitive placement of senior executive and other mission-critical talent. Pritchard is a recruitment and human resources consultant and the author of 101 Strategies for Recruiting Success. Hire4ce is headquartered in Atlanta with offices in Los Angeles and Cleveland.

Digital Intelligence Systems LLC (DISYS), a McLean, Va.-based IT staffing and consulting firm, tapped Patrick Yaguchi as managing director for it new office in Seattle. Yaguchi is a Settle native and brings 18 years of leadership experience in business development, including 13 years in the staffing and consulting industries. The new office brings DISYS’ footprint to a total of 19 North American and 14 international offices.

Accountable Healthcare Staffing Inc., a Boca Raton, Fla.-based healthcare staffing provider, named Shavon Alexander as branch manager of its newest de novo office in Baltimore.  Most recently, Alexander was a branch manager for Spherion. Baltimore is AHS’ 16th de novo office and its 27th office to date.
