Here are recent promotions, new hires and other personnel announcements made by staffing firms. Firms listing personnel changes today include General Healthcare Resources Inc., Cirrus Medical Staffing, Healthcare IT Leaders, Impellam Group plc,  Witt/Kieffer, Healthcare IT Leaders, South Shore Staffing, The Caldwell Partners and Enterprise Search Associates.

Anthony Rossi was promoted to president of General Healthcare Resources Inc. from the position of chief operating officer. Rossi has been with the company for 14 years. The firm supplies nurses, therapists, pharmacists and behavioral healthcare specialists on temporary and permanent basis. The firm was founded in 1993.

Cirrus Medical Staffing announced Vice President Andrea Zveibil will head its new Fort Lauderdale, Fla., branch. Zveibil has 10 years of experience in the healthcare staffing industry and was formerly at AMN Healthcare Services Inc. (NYSE: AHS). Cirrus Medical Staffing places travel nursing and allied healthcare professionals.

Healthcare IT Leaders appointed Bruce Wideberg as senior vice president for the firm’s New England Region. He will lead the firm’s branch office in Topsfield, Mass. Wideberg formerly served as CEO of Sapphire Technologies North America.

Impellam Group plc, a U.K.-based staffing firm with operations in the U.S., named Lincoln Jopp as a nonexecutive director. Jopp previously served 26 years in the British Army.

Witt/Kieffer added Daniel Fogel, former president of the University of Vermont, to its education leadership council. The council comprises former college and university presidents who provide consultative support for presidential transitions. Fogel has also joined the firm’s higher education and not-for-profit practices as of counsel. Witt/Kieffer is an Oak Brook, Ill.-based executive search firm.

South Shore Staffing named Steve Allen as managing director. Allen will oversee daily operations at the staffing firm, which is based in Canton, Mass.

The Caldwell Partners (TSX: CWL.TO), a Toronto-based executive search firm, named Michael Gooley a partner in its technology, telecoms and IT services practice and its financial services practice. The Caldwell Partners also named appointed Paul Daoust to its board to fill the vacancy created by the retirement of David Lewis.

Enterprise Search Associates named Melinda O’Neil as a partner in the firm. The IT recruiting firm is based in Dayton, Ohio.
