Here are a few of the recent promotions, new hires and other personnel announcements made by staffing firms. Firms making announcements include Enterprise Medical Services, AMN Healthcare Services Inc., The Judge Group, Command Center Inc. and Resources Global Professionals, among others:

Enterprise Medical Services appointed Paul Smallwood as the executive vice president and managing principal. Smallwood previously served as senior executive vice president at Cejka Search. The healthcare recruiting and consulting firm also added Dave Duncan to its retained division as a retained search consultant.

AMN Healthcare Services Inc. (NYSE: AHS) increased the size of its board to eight and appointed Mark Foletta as a new director. Foletta most recently served as senior vice president, finance and CFO of Amylin Pharmaceuticals. AMN is the largest U.S. healthcare staffing firm.

Resources Global Professionals announced Shauna Watson joined the company as global managing director for finance and accounting. Resources Global Professionals is an Irvine, Calif.-based subsidiary of Resources Connection Inc. (NASD: RECN) that provides staffing and other services.

The Judge Group promoted Michael Tedesco to executive vice president of sales. The Judge Group is a staffing provider based in Philadelphia.

Command Center Inc. (OTCBB: CCNI) named J.D. Smith to its board of directors. Smith owns Real Estate Investment Consultants LLC. Command Center is an industrial staffing firm based in Idaho.

Spencer Ogden announced Matthew Bushell will serve as the director of its first Canadian office, located in downtown Calgary. Spencer Ogden is a recruiting firm serving the energy industry, with headquarters in London.

Advanced Resources announced David Sladek joined the company as managing director of its direct hire practice. Sladek previously was president of Lincoln Search Consultants. Advanced Resources is a Chicago staffing agency.
