Mississippi posted the highest unemployment rate among all states in November at 7.3 percent, according to data released today by the US Bureau of Labor Statistics. California and Georgia followed, both at 7.2 percent.
The District of Columbia had a rate of 7.4 percent.
North Dakota again posted the lowest unemployment rate in November at 2.7 percent.
The national jobless rate was unchanged from October at 5.8 percent and was 1.2 percentage points lower than in November 2013.
