Mississippi and Rhode Island posted the highest unemployment rate among all states in June at 7.9 percent each, according to data released by the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics. Nevada and Michigan followed at 7.7 percent and 7.5 percent respectively.
North Dakota again posted the lowest unemployment rate in June at 2.7 percent.
