The Mexico leading economic index increased 0.7 percent in December following two consecutive monthly declines, The Conference Board reported today. It now stands at 123.9 (2004=100).
The leading economic index rose by 1.6 percent — about a 3.1 percent annual rate — in the six-month period ending December 2012, up from the increase of 0.7 percent — about a 1.3 percent annual rate — for the previous six months. In addition, the strengths among the leading indicators have become more widespread, The Conference Board reported.
The coincident economic index for Mexico fell 0.2 percent in December and now stands at 122.6 (2004=100).
