Medfinders Inc. promoted Christian Rutherford to chief operating officer of travel operations and physician staffing. In addition, Rutherford will serve on Medfinders' board of directors.

Rutherford previously served as president of Medfinders' physician staffing business units -- Linde Healthcare (locum tenens) and Kendall & Davis (perm placement). With the promotion, Rutherford will also have responsibility for Resources on Call, Club Staffing and Medfinders' nurse travel brands (Nursefinders Travel and National Healthcare Staffing).

Rutherford joined Medfinders in early 2009. He previously served as president of RN Network, a travel nurse company, and, prior to that, was president of physician staffing company Weatherby Locums, a division of CHG Healthcare Services.
