The McClatchy Co. said it will keep its remaining 14.4% stake in CareerBuilder.com. The company said it renegotiated its affiliate agreement with two other owners of CareerBuilder, the Gannett Co. and Tribune Co. However, details of the agreement have not been disclosed.

McClatchy, a publisher of several newspapers including The Miami Herald and The Kansas City Star, acquired a share in CareerBuilder when it purchased newspaper publisher Knight Ridder Inc. last year. Knight Ridder, Gannett and Tribune had each been one-third owners of CareerBuilder, but McClatchy sold an 18.3% interest in CareerBuilder to Tribune and Gannett when it purchased Knight Ridder.

Since then, Tribune and Gannett have decreased their shares to 40.8% from 42.5% each to sell a 4% stake in CareerBuilder to Microsoft Corp.
