Maxim Healthcare Services Inc. a Columbia, Md.-based healthcare staffing and home healthcare provider, named Gregory Ericson as chief information officer and added Kathy Ayres as vice president of human resources, the company announced this week.

Ericson joins Maxim from the Broadlane Group, where he was executive vice president and chief information officer. Ayres has more than 25 years of human resources experience. She also joins Maxim from the Broadlane Group, where she served as senior vice president of human resources in Dallas.

“Kathy and Greg bring many years of human resources and information systems experience to Maxim,” said Chief Executive Officer Brad Bennett. “I am extremely proud of the steps we’ve taken during the past two years to strengthen our leadership team and focus on employee engagement, performance management and information systems implementation. As a result, our company is stronger today and more focused than ever on providing quality care to the patients we serve.”

Maxim has announced a series of leadership appointments that are part of a strategy to strengthen the company’s mission to provide reliable, safe and patient-centered care through innovation and efficient care delivery models. The company settled last week a Medicaid fraud case with the federal government for $150 million.
