ManpowerGroup board director to retire

February 14, 2014

Terry Hueneke will retire from ManpowerGroup Inc.’s (NYSE: MAN) board of directors effective April 14, according to a filing with the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission.

Hueneke has been a director of ManpowerGroup since 1995 and is currently a member of the audit committee. He retired as executive vice president of The Americas and Asia Pacific for Manpower in 2002. Hueneke previously was senior vice president — group executive of the company's former principal operating subsidiary from 1987 until 1996.

ManpowerGroup also amended its by-laws to allow for the chairman of the board to also hold the office of executive chairman, according to the filing. The company this week announced Jonas Prising will take over as chief executive officer effective May 1; current Chairman and CEO Jeffrey Joerres will transition to the role of executive chairman.

Staffing Industry Analysts ranks ManpowerGroup as the third-largest global staffing firm and the fourth largest in the United States.
