Melanie Holmes, vice president of ManpowerGroup’s World of Work Solutions, announced her retirement plans in a blog post yesterday. She will retire June 1.

“After over 31 years at ManpowerGroup I’ve decided to retire in a few months,” Holmes wrote. “This is a monumental decision for me. I’ve spent over half my life — not my working life, my life — here.”

Holmes joined Manpower in 1982 as a temporary employee. In her current role, Holmes promotes Manpower and builds strategic partnerships with government, universities and other leadership organizations. Holmes is also responsible for community investment at Manpower, which includes volunteerism, community relations and philanthropy.
