Malaysia – Pasona launches HR consultancy business

01 October 2014

Pasona, one of the largest staffing firms in Japan, announced that it has founded a new company, Pasona HR Malaysia Sdn. Bhd., in Malaysia. The company will provide HR consultancy services to support, predominately Japanese, companies in Malaysia.

According to the company’s statement: “Malaysia is part of the Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN) and the economic community has a population of approximately 600 million. Many companies are expanding their business to target the increasing middle-class. This will lead to an increase in consulting needs of global personnel beyond borders as well as training needs at corporations.”

“To meet this demand, Pasona established Pasona HR Malaysia in Kuala Lumpur and will begin providing comprehensive HR consulting; including placement services of global talent from across the world and design HR systems.”

“Pasona will utilise its worldwide network to provide cross border services. In the future, the company plans to provide training services; such as multicultural communication and management, and business manner and customer service that embodies the Japanese spirit of selfless hospitality, or “Omotenashi.”

Pasona HR Malaysia also will provide HR related outsourcing and BPO services.

The Malaysian business marks the first venture by Pasona into the southeast Asian country. The recruiter already operates in the US, Canada, Hong Kong, China, Taiwan, Singapore, India, Vietnam, Korea, Indonesia, and Thailand.
