MDI Group, an Atlanta-based staffing firm, sold its finance and accounting staffing business to UHY Advisors GA Inc. The sale will allow MDI to focus on its core information technology business.

"MDI Group is now positioned to focus its full resources and expertise on the area we know best: IT workforce solutions," CEO Ella Koscik said in a statement.

The company said the sale completes a process that began in 2008 when it sold its healthcare staffing division to Cirrus Medical Staffing Inc.

The sale of the finance and accounting division was completed on Aug. 27. Terms of the deal were not announced.
