MBO Partners named Bob Lucas as senior VP of business development. Lucas most recently served as senior VP of business development at Advance Partners, a provider of services including funding to staffing firms. Lucas also served in executive roles at Kelly Services (NASD: KELYA) and Adecco. He had also served as chief operating officer at VMS firm Provade.

“Bob will help companies taking advantage of the fast-growing independent contracting market, from micro business service providers to large multi-national enterprises, see how MBO can make them more successful,” said MBO founder and CEO Gene Zaino.

MBO provides contractor management services including a freelancer management system. It also provides back office services for independent consultants.
