M+W buys technical staffing provider

M+W Group announced its M+W Americas Inc. subsidiary acquired NSTAR Global Services, a Clayton NC-based firm that provides staffing of technicians and engineers.

Most of NSTAR's clients are process equipment manufacturers who bring in NSTAR staff for installation and maintenance technician skills, according to the company.

The purchase price of NSTAR was not announced. The company will continue to operate under the NSTAR brand, and existing management will remain.

M+W Americas is an engineering and construction company specializing in technical structures such as electronics and biotechnology facilities and data centers.

NSTAR appeared on the 2009 Inc. 5000 list with 2008 revenue of $6.3 million.
