Flex Med founders Tag Doss and Heather Doss will remain with the company. Tag Doss will take on the chief nursing officer role and Heather Doss will become chief operating officer of the Flex Med division within Lofton. Flex Med will continue to operate under its own name but will be based out of Lofton's office in Lafayette.

The deal closed July 1. Terms of the transaction were not announced.

"The acquisition of Flex Med is a key component of our strategy to grow in the medical staffing market while adding talent and experience to our internal team," said Bret Lofton, co-president of Lofton Staffing.

Lofton, founded in 1979, has 10 offices throughout Louisiana and Texas.
