Locum tenens president leaves Cross Country

Cross Country Healthcare Inc. (NASD: CCRN) reported B. Franklin Phillips will no longer be employed as president of the company’s locum tenens business, Medical Doctors Associates, according to a filing with the US Securities and Exchange Commission. Cross Country is the fifth-largest provider of locum tenens staffing in the US.

Phillips had become president of MDA in June 2014. Prior to that, he served as VP of sales, operations and quality assurance at Interim Physicians LLC from 2009 through June 2014. He was division president of Maxim Physician Resources LLC from 2007 through 2009.

In 1995, Phillips founded Weatherby Locums Inc., which was later acquired by CompHealth.

MDA provides locum tenens and allied health staffing. It is headquartered outside of Atlanta, with regional offices in Dallas and Troy, Mich., as well as staffing consultants nationwide.
