Labor Ready, Command Center founder joins Labor SMART advisory board

December 09, 2015

Glenn Welstad, founder and former CEO of Labor Ready Inc. and Command Center Inc., joined Labor SMART Inc. (OTCBB: LTNC) as the first member of its newly created advisory board.

Labor SMART, a provider of industrial staffing serving the southeastern US, in May rejected an offer by Command Center to purchase the company.

“I am truly honored to have Mr. Welstad on our team,” said Labor SMART President and CEO Ryan Schadel. “A visionary who launched an entire industry that now produces over $29 billion in annual revenue, the founder of two of the industry’s largest on-demand labor providers, and a passionate entrepreneur, Mr. Welstad brings with him more experience than anyone in the on-demand staffing industry. It goes without saying that his counsel will be invaluable as Labor SMART Inc. begins its fifth year.”

Welstad stepped down as president and CEO of Command Center in 2013 to pursue other interests.

“I am pleased to join the team with someone like Ryan, who has the operational experience and expertise to build a great company,” Welstad said. “Ryan is a fighter and survivor, and with a little time and TLC, together we can successfully build a great company.”

Labor SMART expects to announce additional members of the newly created advisory board within the next three weeks.

On Dec. 1, Schadel delivered an open letter to the President and CEO of The Staffing Group Ltd., stating its intentions for a partnership and seeking common ground for discussion.
