Korn/Ferry revenue rises 8%

Korn/Ferry International Inc. (NYSE: KFY) reported fee revenue rose 7.7% year-over-year to $146.7 million in its fiscal third quarter ended Jan. 31.

The Los Angeles-based executive search firm said executive search fee revenue rose across the board with North American fee revenue rising 4.8% year-over-year to $70.2 million. Fee revenue rose 20.4% in Europe, the Middle East and Africa; rose 21.4% in Asia; and rose 3.2% in South America.

However, the company's Futurestep division reported a year-over-year decline in revenue of 10.2% to $17.6 million.

Korn/Ferry posted third-quarter net income of $7.9 million compared with a net loss of $22.4 million in the year-ago quarter. The company had reported a $16.8 million restructuring charter in the third quarter of the previous year.

Korn/Ferry estimated fourth-quarter revenue will be $145 million to $155 million, a year-over-year increase of between 35.5% and 44.9%.
