Korn/Ferry buys Whitehead Mann

Korn/Ferry International Inc. (NYSE: KFY) acquired London-based executive search firm Whitehead Mann, the companies announced Thursday. Terms of the deal were not released.

Whitehead Mann's CEO and co-managing partner, Piers Marmion, will join Korn/Ferry as chairman for Europe, the Middle East and Africa.

"The strategic alignment of our firms brings together a more comprehensive, diversified organization that will deliver unmatched capabilities and further extend our brand throughout the world," said Korn/Ferry CEO Gary Burnison.

Los Angeles-based executive search firm Korn/Ferry ranks among the largest staffing firms in the world. It posted revenue of $638.2 million in its last fiscal year ended April 30, 2009.
