Kforce chief accounting officer steps down

Kforce Inc. (NASD: KFRC) Chief Accounting Officer Jeffrey Hackman is stepping down from his role effective Sept. 20, the company reported in filing with the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission.

Hackman had served as chief accounting officer and principal accounting officer since February 2009 at the Tampa, Fla.-based professional staffing firm. Prior to that, he was SEC reporting director from October 2007 through February 2009. He came to Kforce from Grant Thornton LLP.

The chief accounting officer and principal accounting officer roles will now be filled by Sara Nichols, who formally accepted the positions on Monday. Nichols served as vice president, finance, at Kforce since February 2009 and is a certified public accountant. She also served as Kforce's chief accounting officer from August 2007 through February 2009, and Nichols was director of business process management from May 2005 through August 2007.

Nichols began her career with Arthur Andersen LLP and has held management positions at TMP Worldwide's eResourcing division and Cox Target Media Inc. before joining Kforce.
