The number of U.S. initial claims for unemployment insurance for the week ended Nov. 14 was unchanged from the previous week's revised figure of 505,000, the U.S. Department of Labor reported today.

The four-week moving average of claims for the week ended Nov. 14 fell by 6,500, or 1.3%, to 514,000 from the previous week's revised average of 520,500.
