The number of U.S. initial claims for unemployment benefits was unchanged in the week ended Feb. 14 from the previous week's revised figure of 627,000, the U.S. Department of Labor reported today. However, the four-week moving average of claims rose 1.7% to 619,000 from the previous week's revised average of 608,500.
