The four-week moving average of seasonally adjusted initial jobless claims was 477,000 for the week ended Nov. 1, unchanged from the previous week's revised average of 477,000, the U.S. Department of Labor reported today.

The advance figure for seasonally adjusted initial unemployment claims was 481,000 for the week ended Nov. 1, down 4,000, or 0.8%, from the previous week's revised figure of 485,000, the department reported.
