Job board hit with lawsuit

March 14, 2013

A lawsuit was filed against TheLadders.com, a New York-based job board, that seeks to represent people who were premium members of the site from March 11, 2007 through Aug. 31, 2011, according to law firm Bursor & Fisher, which filed the lawsuit.

“Basically, it misrepresented itself as a premium job site for only $110,000-plus jobs and only $100,000-plus talent, said Yitz Kopel, an associate at Bursor & Fisher. “The complaint alleges that in reality, a lot of the jobs that were posted on TheLadders either did not exist, did not pay $100,000-plus or were not authorized to be posted on TheLadders by the employers.”
