The number of job openings on the last business day of November was little changed from October at approximately 3.7 million, according to seasonally adjusted numbers from the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics. The job openings rate — a measure of job openings compared with total employment — also remained unchanged at 2.7 percent in November from October.

The number of hires was also little changed in November from October at approximately 4.3 million. The number of separations was also little changed in November.
