View All NewsJapan – Yume Technology reports growth but forecasts lower full-year net income
Japanese outsourcing services company Yume Technology (2458: JP) reported revenue growth of +7.6% to JPY 2.8 billion (USD 27.3 million) during the nine months to 30 June 2014, up from JPY 2.6 billion (USD 25.4 million) a year ago.
Operating profit for the period increased by +18.4% to JPY 241 million (USD 2.4 million), compared with JPY 203 million (USD 2 million) last year. Net income for the period, however, decreased by -21.3%, falling from JPY 255 million (USD 2.5 million) in 2013 to JPY 201 million (USD 2 million) this year.
For the full year ending 30 September 2014, the company expects to achieve JPY 3.7 billion (USD 36.1 million) in revenue, equating to year-on-year growth of +4.8%. Net income for the period, however, is expected to drop to JPY 230 million (USD 2.2 million), a fall of -50.4% compared with last year.
Yume Technology is mainly engaged in the supply of staffing services. The Engineering Outsourcing segment dispatches workers specialising in the semiconductor, electric, electronic, machinery, information and chemical fields. The firm’s Business Solution segment offers staffing services for open source software, network and security-related activities in the IT field, as well as the development and sale of open source software.
In trading today, the company’s share price closed marginally up by +0.1% at JPY 979 (USD 9.56), an increase of +5.6% compared with a year ago. Based on its current share price, the company has a market value of JPY 5.6 billion (USD 54.7 million).
